Jane So is a registered physiotherapist who has a fascination with human movement and function. She also cares deeply for the well being of others. Combining her passions, Jane obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University. During her studies, she played on the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team for 4 years and endured sports injuries and underwent physiotherapy. Her experiences inspired her to help others, and thus she pursued a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University which she completed in 2009.
Jane loves to help clients of all ages find the root cause of their pain or discomfort and guide them to better function and quality of life, whether that means back to sport, work, school, or daily life activities. With a team approach at Lakeside, Jane will ensure each person’s physical goals are fully achieved by addressing important related aspects to their injury or pain as needed.
Jane has taken various post graduate courses in physiotherapy to improve patient assessment and treatment techniques in all areas of the body. She has also taken courses in acupuncture, running gait analysis, joint mobilizations and manipulations, soft tissue techniques, and is now certified to fit medical graded compression stockings.
In her spare time, Jane likes to train for sprint triathlons and take pottery classes.
